The Stagg Bongo Cajon blends traditional cajon sounds with expressive bongo tones in a single compact instrument. Crafted from FSC-certified birchwood, this cajon features a classic snare-equipped front plate for deep bass and crisp slaps, while its dual-tone bongo side expands your rhythmic possibilities on stage or in the studio.
How the Bongo Side Works:
Built into the side of the cajon are two dedicated tone plates—one for a high-pitched note (left) and another for a lower tone (right). These wooden bongo surfaces are designed for responsive tapping and slapping, simulating the feel and pitch of real bongos. Whether you’re layering subtle accents or driving percussive grooves, the bongo side lets you switch styles fluidly without changing instruments.
