Awesome experience at MP Wellington with Pete
"Absolutely awesome experience "auditioning" this amp with Pete (manager at Wellington store). Previously I'd purchased a Medeli SP-A500 weighted-key piano/keyboard from this shop, which is one of my faves for all things musical in our fair city. I was sick and tired of lugging around my huge, old, HEAVY Jansen amp and STILL being without roadies 40 years of gigging on, needed something light and punchy, with some decent bottom end. I almost laughed out loud with scorn when he pulled the brand new little Vox from the box, however was amazed and delighted at its kick-ass sound and its "is that an amp in your pocket, or are you just pleased to see me" size. Plugged into a shop floor SP-A500, we proceeded to go all Rick Wakeman and Billy Joel on Vivian St's ass until I decided to just buy the bloody thing and be done with it. To hell with walking through the sleeting, snow filled street to Rock Shop for MAYBE a better deal. The guys at MP Vivian have everything you need, are bloody knowledgable and not too shabby musicians either. Oh, I bought a guitar amp also-Vox Cambridge 50. That's for carrying under the other arm. . . was just one of those afternoons when you just want to get it done, right? Right on. Love your work, gentlemen, love my new Vox amps. THE business."
