Overview
The TC-Helicon Go Vocal Microphone Preamp for Mobile Devices is a microphone preamp for mobile devices, one that provides a high measure of quality. The preamp is battery-powered, requiring only one 9V battery. Use this preamp to secure high-quality audio recordings on your phone, either for recording music, voiceovers, ENG, or other mobile applications.
It sports an XLR input for your microphone, a 3.5mm headphone output, and an attached 3.5mm TRRS adapter for your mobile device's headphone input or Lightning adapter. Plug your mic into the Go Vocal, as well as your headphones for monitoring the signal. Then, route the audio from the preamp into your phone through the attached cable.
The preamp gives you a switch for phantom power, should you be working with a condenser microphone. A gain control includes an indicator for reference. The preamp has a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz, making it suitable for vocalists. Free vocal effects can be downloaded and implemented on your device through TC-Helicon's website. Also, the mic is compatible with many third-party apps, so you can easily tailor the sound you how see fit. This preamp only requires one 9V battery to operate. Batteries are available separately.
