Featuring a sturdy aluminum body and genuine wooden side panels, the Pa5X offers both durability and style. The 76-key semi-weighted keybed with aftertouch provides expressive control and a natural feel for any performance.

A large 8” tiltable touchscreen with a redesigned color-matched GUI makes sounds and features instantly accessible. Multicolored LED buttons, assignable controls, and real-time performance tools keep you fully in control.

Realtime Controllers & Expressive Performance

The Pa5X offers assignable sliders, buttons, joystick, ribbon controller, and Korg’s DNC (Defined Nuance Control) for detailed articulation and expressive sound control. Including:

• Assignable Sliders & Buttons – Nine sliders and multiple buttons can be freely assigned to parameters such as volume levels, filter cutoff, effect depth, or track mute/solo, giving immediate access to sound shaping and live mixing without menu-diving.
• Joystick Controller – The four-axis joystick provides smooth control over pitch bend and modulation, or can be assigned to other modulation parameters. This is particularly powerful for expressive playing on instruments like strings, brass, and guitars.
• Ribbon Controller – Allows sweeping gestures for filter effects, pitch manipulation, or triggering of custom modulations. It’s ideal for dramatic builds, glissandos, and real-time sound sculpting.
• Assignable Switches – Two dedicated switches beneath the joystick can be programmed for articulation triggers, rotary speaker speed changes, octave shifts, or other frequently needed functions.
• Defined Nuance Control (DNC) – Korg’s advanced articulation technology that introduces subtle playing nuances such as breath noise, fret noise, vibrato, or legato transitions. DNC ensures that acoustic instrument sounds (saxophone, violin, trumpet, guitar, etc.) respond naturally to your performance gestures.
• Matrix Pads – 16 assignable RGB pads can trigger phrases, samples, sounds, or effects. They can also be linked with styles and SongBook entries, opening up creative live performance options.
