Keyboards & Pianos

Are you in the market for a new keyboard or piano? If so, it's important to know about the different types of keyboards and pianos available. So whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, find the best options on keyboards and pianos available at Music Planet.

There are a number of different types of Keyboards & Pianos available on the market. The most common type is the standard Keyboard, which simulates many instruments digitally and usually has unweighted keys. You also have Synthesizer Keyboards, Workstations and Home Digital Pianos. Home Digital Pianos are extremely popular for emulating an Acoustic Piano without the cost or size, usually offering real-weighted keys and high-quality Piano samples, frequently paired with built-in speakers.

There are also two main types of Acoustic Pianos: Grand pianos & Upright Pianos. Grand pianos are the largest type of piano, and they have a large, curved shape - best suited for Concert Halls and large spaces. Upright pianos are the most common type of Acoustic Piano, being the slimmer, smaller, more accessible of the two. For more info on Pianos, come in and see one of our experts.
