What is the difference between soprano, concert and tenor ukuleles?
Sopranos are the smallest and most popular at 53cm giving a higher pitch and tuned to G-C-E-A, where Concerts are slightly larger and give a warmer tone at 58cm, followed by the even larger Tenor Ukulele at 66cm which often use a Low-G tuning (whereas Soprano and Concert will often have a High-G string) followed lastly by the Baritone at roughly 73cm usually tuned to D-G-B-E

Nylon is the most common type of Ukulele strings, followed by Nylgut (synthetic gut string) and Fluorocarbon.
Do ukuleles need tuning often?
Ukulele’s should be tuned whenever you are about to play, but will otherwise often need tuning when changing strings, when stored for a period of time, or if there are environmental temperature shifts that can cause the body to expand or contract.
