A tuner is an important tool if you’re a ukulele player. They’re inexpensive, easy to use and usually very accurate. We highly recommend that all beginners grab themselves a clip-on tuner as they're super useful to have whether you’re a gigging musician or just enjoy playing at home.

Tuners come in all shapes and sizes and vary in shape, accuracy, and ease of access. Nowadays, the best Ukulele tuners on the market can be clipped onto the headstock of your Ukulele, keeping it managable, out of the way, and easy to power (as most are powered by batteries). These types of tuners have come a long way and are getting more and more accurate with every iteration. They work by feeling the vibrations of the string against the body of the Ukulele, as opposed to using a microphone which can easily be drowned out by external noise.
