Alvarez’s acoustic range is notoriously diverse, and features a raft of stunning guitars that emit the most glorious of tones. The CC7HCE is one such model, striking the perfect balance between old and new with its traditional classical design and LR Baggs electronics.
Construction
The body of the Alvarez CC7HCE is constructed from gorgeous Dark Walnut, yielding a bright top-end and present mids. Paired with a Mahogany neck, this offers a warm and rich character that enhances the low-end, to give a balanced sound overall. Strengthened by a strip of Ebony that runs down its length, this will ensure that the neck won’t warp in varying climates.
The Alvarez CC7HCE’s body is adorned with a Solid A+ Sitka Spruce top, adding some further top-end crispness. This means that you can play fingerpicked patterns with all of the clarity and articulation you’d expect from a high-quality classical guitar.
Electronics
Fitted with an LR Baggs StagePro Element system, the Alvarez CC7HCE will offer an authentic tonality when plugged into a PA System or recording interface. Class-leaders in acoustic pickup technology, LR Baggs’ StagePro system will translate the acoustic voice of the CC7HCE very convincingly, capturing its full range.
Sporting a 3-band EQ section as well as a phase inversion switch, you can tailor the tone of this instrument to suit the acoustic qualities of any space. For example, if you’re playing in a particularly dark-sounding venue, just boost the treble and you’ll cut through effortlessly!
The Classical Design
Classical guitars are defined by their use of nylon strings and often smaller bodies than their steel-string counterparts. While being a popular contemporary instrument, it’s known for its use in the Classical field, as the name suggests; its soothing but dynamic sound is instantly recognisable.
Combining modern manufacturing techniques with unique tonewood treatments, Alvarez Classical instruments are truly world-class. Committed to uncompromising quality and simultaneous affordability, Alvarez travelled to Cádiz in Andalusia – the spiritual home of the Classical guitar – to learn the instruments inside and out. The result is a range of nylon-string acoustics that are among the best on the market.
